There are a fair amount of things tagged “(historical)” from a previous import that are no longer correct — the place has been removed or is now something else. Go through and find them using this Overpass-Turbo query http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/qqM and add either historic: or removed: to the front of the tag. Historic is if the building still exists but now has a different use, Removed is if the building is gone. For example, if it’s a church that has been torn down, change amenity=place_of_worship to removed:amenity=place_of_worship . A church that is now a restaurant would have historic:amenity=place_of_worship and then whatever other tag there should be.
This will make sure the places won’t show up on the map, but the data will still exist with correct tags. For more on removed: historic: and other lifecycle prefixes, visit https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Lifecycle_prefix
